Meet Katie

I am passionate about improving people’s lives at work. Whether it is redefining a process, identifying training needs, or providing actionable data that can be used for decision-making, it’s my goal to identify opportunities that will help individuals be more successful in their job, which will, in turn, benefit the business overall. People spend about 1/3rd of their life at work, so making that time more satisfying and empowering is my motivation. My work background has primarily focused on people (HR) and customer analytics where I engage with business leaders to identify areas of opportunity, conduct research/interviews, analyze data, and provide insights through data visualization.

Outside of work, you will likely find me doing something outdoors with my husband and dog. The warmer months are typically packed with camping, hiking, kayaking, etc. while the colder months are spent planning and longing for next year’s trips.

Skills

Data visualization/storytelling, data analysis, survey development and evaluation, human factors design

Hobbies

Running, hiking, rock climbing, attempting to play the instruments in my house (I collect instruments but can only play about 25% of them)

Fun Fact

When I was attending Miami, I had the opportunity to go to India to play drums in a concert for one of India’s biggest composers. My usual audience was a crowd at a football game (remember I attended Miami… it was pretty minimal), so going from that to 30,000 people was an incredible experience.
